A Brief History...
Established in 1946, Trimproof Limited traditionally sold PVC products into the fashion market. A decade on, they moved into the automotive market and were then major suppliers to the Ford Motor Company’s subsidiary in County Cork.
It was in the 1970s that Trimproof moved into the Contract Furnishing Upholstery market and are still in the Tier One list of suppliers to this industry. With a strong design team and innovative new ideas the company continues to meet the needs of the market, producing market-leading products such as anti- Clostridium Difficile vinyl for the Healthcare sector. Ongoing research ensures that this customer focus will be retained.
Our products have come a long way and stood the test of time. Our continued success is a result of the quality, standard and choice of products and our attention to customer service.
The company was re-branded in early 2009 as Chieftain Fabrics and is still a family-run business. Chairman Donal Kinsella enlisted his daughter Dearbhla as Managing Director in 2005 and has acknowledged a new and dynamic management was behind the company’s broadening appeal in the Hospitality and Healthcare sectors.
